Therapy in Los Angeles & Throughout California

PERSON-CENTERED THERAPY
My work is rooted in the philosophy of person-centered therapy, as Carl Rogers envisioned it: not a method, but a way of being. I believe in the actualizing tendency: that within each of us exists an innate inner wisdom that moves toward wholeness if given the right conditions.

But that can get buried beneath shame, trauma, conditioning, survival, or years of trying to be “what we’re supposed to be.”

My role isn’t to impose a path, but to co-create a space where you can hear your own voice again.

I WORK AT THE LEVEL OF BEING
In a world fixated on solutions, I offer genuine human connection.
In a culture of quick fixes, I offer intimacy.
In the noise of judgements, I offer reflection.
In a system that categorizes, I meet a person.

HEALING DOESN'T COME FROM CLEVERNESS. IT COMES FROM CONNECTION
Research shows that the client-therapist relationship is the most important predictor of positive outcomes in treatment.

I work to honor the client’s inner authority. When a person feels safe enough to speak what they’ve never spoken… to feel what they’ve long avoided… to trust that even their messiest parts can be met with gentleness… something shifts. Not because I’ve done something to them. But because something inside them was ready to be found.
That’s the work I care about.

This is therapy that respects your pace, your process, your personhood. I’m here to sit beside you while something unravels, clarifies, softens, or surprises you.

Sessions with me are an invitation to deepen, to wonder, to sit in what’s real and raw and maybe even sacred. It’s work. It’s presence. They might be quiet. Some days you’ll leave with more questions than answers. It’s sometimes painful. Sometimes amusing. But it’s always yours.

I offer an authentic relationship where you're safe enough to be and to grow.

FOCUSING: LISTENING TO THE BODY'S KNOWING

Modern life pulls us out of our bodies.
Modern therapy sometimes does, too.
Focusing calls us back to ourselves.
To what is experienced, present, alive, and longing for attention.
In every session, I listen not just to your words, but what your body might be trying to say beneath them.
The philosopher and psychotherapist Eugene Gendlin called this the *felt sense*; the vague, often wordless knowing that lives in our bodies. It’s not a feeling, exactly. It’s a whole constellation of meaning that hasn’t yet found language.
Maybe you’ve had moments like:
A knot in your stomach that doesn’t go away.
A heaviness in your chest when you think about a decision.
A strange tightness in your throat that you can’t quite explain.
A quality of something unfinished.
Focusing invites us to slow down, be with those signals, and learn from them.

It’s not a technique I do *to* you. It’s a way we listen *with* you. Together, we turn toward the unclear edge of experience—the part of you that knows more than you can yet say.
As we give it space, words begin to form. And with them, movement.
Focusing doesn’t push. It doesn’t analyze. It waits. It listens. And in that quiet, your truth begins to unfold—not as a concept, but as a shift in your body and so, your very being.
It moves when we stop overriding or interpreting our inner knowing and instead sit with it gently, with interest. A step comes. Not always the step we expect - but often the one our body needs.
SOMATIC EMDR
RECONNECTING MIND AND BODY

Trauma often disconnects us from our bodies, leaving us feeling fragmented and unsafe within ourselves. Through Somatic EMDR, I guide you in gently reprocessing traumatic memories by attuning to your body's sensations and rhythms. This approach combines traditional EMDR techniques with somatic awareness, helping you restore a sense of safety, agency, and wholeness.
EMOTIONALLY FOCUSED COUPLES THERAPY
CULTIVATING SECURE BONDS

Relationships can become entangled in cycles of conflict and disconnection. Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) helps partners identify and transform these patterns by addressing the underlying emotional needs and attachment fears. Together, we work to create a secure, responsive bond, allowing for deeper intimacy and resilience in your relationship.
ATTACHMENT THEORY
HEALING THROUGH SAFE CONNECTION

Our early attachment experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and others. By exploring these patterns, we can understand the roots of current relational challenges. In therapy, we create a secure environment where you can develop new ways of connecting, fostering healthier relationships and a stronger sense of self.
INTERPERSONAL NEUROBIOLOGY
INTEGRATING MIND, BODY, AND RELATIONSHIPS

Interpersonal Neurobiology offers a framework for understanding how our brains and relationships influence each other. By integrating insights from neuroscience, psychology, and mindfulness, we work towards creating harmony within your internal world and your connections with others. This holistic approach supports healing and promotes well-being across all aspects of your life.
